Praise the Lord, Another Child!

Friday, January 12th, 2007

Well,

We are going to have another baby! A precious little bundle of joy. Our third. Someone totally new and different! I just can’t wait to meet him or her.

Now the big guessing game begins…. When is baby number three due? Good question since it is hard to pin point conception even down to the month this time! In a few weeks we will have an ultra sound, hopefully it will point us to a month!

“Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward. As arrows [are] in the hand of a mighty man; so [are] children of the youth. Happy [is] the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” Psalms 127:3-5

“Blessed is everyone that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.” Psalms 128:1-4

“And he (Christ)took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.” Mark 9:36-37

Praise the Lord, He has blessed.

On Forgiveness and Reconciliation

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

This is a huge topic, one I cannot cover in one post, and since I rarely do a series, it is unlikely I will cover the whole of this topic at all. So consider this an intro.

We have all sinned against a brother or sister at one time or another. We have all been sinned against. But how many of us do what the Word says regarding this? How many of us really know the gravity of the situation?

Did you know:

You are to forgive seven times seventy times for the same offense? Mat 18:20 and Mat18:21 and Lk 17:4
If you do not forgive as you have been forgiven the Father will not forgive you? Mat 6:15 and Mar 11:26
You are to reconcile with an offended brother before you come to worship the Lord? Mat 5:23, 24

Things I Learned from My Mother

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

Let me start by saying, my mom isn’t perfect. But your mom isn’t either! This post will not be in the way of the world, pointing out her foibles and faults and bringing dishonor upon her. I am her daughter and I will rise up and called her blessed. She is a wonderful woman who loves the Lord. I will be pointing out all that I have learned and loved about her. Why? Well, she has been on my mind lately, and because not only does she deserve to be known to all who know me, but the world and I are at odds on the issue of honoring parents, so I do this to bring her honor.

My mother taught me tenderness. (more…)
