Tom,

I do hope you return to read this response...

This is an excellent question. One I am all too happy to answer.

The truth of the matter is that I have SO MANY baby and children's clothing, which was shared with me, as a gift that I cannot use it all. The Lord has provided and blessed us with so many things that I just cannot keep it all. And so in the way of reaping and sowing, I am now sowing, at bargain prices, gently used children's clothing.

You may wonder why I am selling these pieces instead of donating them. But first, let me assure you that, I have and AM donating tons of stuff. But at the moment my family could use a little extra cash on hand, and so after discussing it with my husband we decided that selling a portion of the extras would help us out too.

I would like to emphasize that my children are not going to be doing without, not even the new baby or babies to come... they are so blessed that they cannot even wear all these clothes, neither can they keep them all in their drawers. Furthermore, the clothing just keeps on coming in. Grandparents buy gifts, and such... It is a wonderful thing to be this blessed, so blessed that I can both give away things, and still have a decent portion to sell for a slight profit to help my family economically.

It is also not a godly thing to be a hoarder, so passing things along is an excellent way to share the goods that the Lord has blessed me with, instead of bagging them up and hoping that I can use them with the next baby. In fact, because I am not a hoarder, and I carefully consider the things that I donate and sell, I think that sowing has lead to this huge harvest of clothing, which I am now sowing again. What a great circle of blessing the Lord has created.

Oh and it is absolutely important to be frugal... in fact you would find me to be QUITE frugal.

Meg,
I have a question in all seriousness. Why are you having a yard sale to unload children's clothing when you have a new one on the way. Is it not the responsibility of the individual to be frugal to protect this world that we are borrowing at the moment on our way to salvation.
