Statement of Faith, and guidelines for discussions

Let this be the guideline for all posts. We are not here to call each other names, nor to pass unrighteous judgment on the opinions of others especially when the opinions do not affect the basics of the faith. The faith being Chrisitanity, and the basics being thus:

1. We are all sinners, born in iniquity.
2. There is one God, who is manifest in three persons, The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit… One God, three persons…. ONE GOD….three persons, the Trinity.
3. Jesus is 100% God and 100% man, He became flesh and dwelt among us. He offered His body a sacrifice for the atonement of our sins, without which not one would be recieved in heaven.
4. Jesus was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day He rose again in a glorified body and now sits that the right hand of God almighty in heaven until His enemies are made his footstool.
5. Jesus will return again, for His bride the church, He will judge the quick and the dead, and send Satan to hell, along with all Satan’s angel horde, and people who have not chosen the Living God and Christs salvation.
6. A person is saved by grace and grace alone, works are dead. However, Jesus Himself says that after salvation your works are no longer dead and are a fruit of your redemption, thusly we all ought to have the fruits of the Spirit.

We ought not dilute the true and holy gospel, and we ought to remember that it has been said unto us, to love each other, and to not judge too quickly on a persons opinions. Even in Chrisitianity there is room for opinion, and we are to be set apart by our love and unity. I whole heartedly abhorr the division of God’s church. Let us be unified, bold, loving. In Christ we are all called to evangelism, we are all called to unity, we are all called to be subject “one unto the other”.

While writing your posts, please recall that namecalling is a thing of middle
schoolers, and as grown adults we ought to be a better example to those whom we seek to bring unto Christ. Let us be civil in our disagreements, differing one unto the other in areas not harming the truth of salvation.

That said, this site is going to address child rearing primarily, but as I am hot on fire to speak my mind about the church and doctrine, I suppose there will be a bunch of that here too. All opinions are welcome, but please lets try to remain gentle and civil toward each other as Christ has called us to be.
